Visit to the European Parliament Liaison Office in Athens
On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, members of our school's ERASMUS group visited the European Parliament
Liaison Office in Athens and were given a tour of the historic building designed by architect
Theophil Hansen and located across from the Hellenic Parliament.
During our visit, Mr. Filippos Kamaris, head of the volunteer community/network mazi.eu,
along with Ms. Katerina Theofilopoulou from the Public Relations department, informed the students
about the European Union with the use of an interactive game.
The European Parliament Liaison Office in Greece serves as the communication and administrative
link between the European Parliament and the Greek authorities, especially the Hellenic Parliament.
It mediates during official meetings between the European Parliament's bodies and its General
Secretariat with these authorities, contributes to the handling of administrative matters,
and facilitates the exchange of relevant information. It also works closely with the
Greek press and media, both informing journalists about the activities of the European
Parliament and monitoring their responses in order to gauge public opinion on European affairs.
The students were accompanied by Mr. Anastopoulos, Ms. Tauzi and Mr. Tsiaprazi.
